Madhya Pradesh now ranks 8th in the country in Corona infection
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that there is significant improvement in Corona infection in the state. Now the state has come to the 8th position in the entire country. All the Corona parameters of the state have improved significantly. There has been a decrease of 151 cases in active cases in a day and 300 patients have recovered and gone home. Now our active cases are 2666. Our doubling rate has increased to 34.1 days and recovery rate to 71.1 percent. These are very good signs for the state.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing the situation and arrangements of Corona in the state today through video conferencing. Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, DGP Shri Vivek Johri, Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Mohammad Suleman were present on the occasion.
Madhya Pradesh second in India in recovery rate
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is second in India in recovery rate. The recovery rate in M.P. is 71.1 percent now, compared to India’s 50.6 percent. Rajasthan has the highest with 75.3 percent. Gujarat has 68.9 percent, Uttar Pradesh 60 and Tamil Nadu 54.8 percent.
M.P. ranks 8th in Corona infection
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan informed that Madhya Pradesh has now reached the 8th position in India in Corona infection after improvement in Corona related parameters. M.P. has 10641 Corona positive cases. Maharashtra has maximum 1,04,568 Corona cases, followed by 42,687 in Tamil Nadu, 38,958 in Delhi, 23,038 in Gujarat, 13,118 in Uttar Pradesh, 12,401 in Rajasthan and 10,698 in West Bengal.
Doubling rate in M.P rate lowest in India
The Chief Minister said that the pace of spread of Corona infection in Madhya Pradesh has been the slowest in the country. Our doubling rate is 34.1 days, while that of India is 18.4 days. The doubling rate in Gujarat has been 30.2 days, Rajasthan 26.7 days, Maharashtra 21 days and Uttar Pradesh 18.6 days.
In-charge officer must monitor daily
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that district-wise senior officers have been made officers in charge for monitoring Corona. They should monitor the condition of Corona in their district as soon as they wake up in the morning and before going to sleep at night, give guidance to the concerned collectors and report it.
Corona mortality rate has to be minimized
In the meeting, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that the death rate of Corona in the state has to be minimized. For this, best medical care should be ensured in all Covid hospitals. Treatment protocol should be followed completely and special attention should be paid to every patient.
Public awareness must
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that life is becoming normal now after opening of the lockdown. Therefore, it is necessary to make people aware so that they take all necessary precautions. Applying masks, maintaining distance of two yards, not spitting, washing hands with soap frequently, using sanitizer etc. are all essential. Public support should be taken to spread awareness.
Bhopal no longer among most infected cities
ACS Health Shri Mohammed Suleman said that Indore city on the state ranks 7th among the 15 most infected cities in India. Earlier Bhopal was also included in this list but now Bhopal is not among them.
