Madhya Pradesh: Over Rs 316 crore sanctioned for expansion of medical facilities

Bhopal : In a virtual meeting of the cabinet held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, a sanction of Rs 316 crore 96 lakh was provided for the construction works related to the expansion of specific medical facilities for the public in Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal and allied hospitals with the collaboration of the Prime Minister Jan Vikas programme of the Government of India.

The cabinet gave administrative approval for the creation of three posts for the establishment of Viral Research Diagnostic Lab in the Medical College Sagar.

Samman Nidhi to two journalists

The cabinet has decided to provide the Samman Nidhi by relaxing the rules, considering the critical illness of two journalists, Shri Sunil Tiwari and Shri Narendra Kulshrestha, as a special case under extraordinary circumstances.

Madhya Pradesh Municipality Law (Amendment) Bill 2021

The cabinet approved the Madhya Pradesh Municipality Law (Amendment) Bill, 2021. In the said bill, amendments have been proposed to clarify and simplify the process of registration of colonizers, the process of permitting colony development, so as to encourage the development of authorised colonies. Provision for strict action against violation of permission for development of the colony has been proposed. Apart from this, stringent provisions have also been made in the Amendment Bill to provide penalties for the offence of development of unauthorized colonies, in which it will be possible to curb unauthorized colony development. After the unauthorized colonies are identified, to ensure proper development of civil infrastructure in them and regularization of the layout of unauthorized colonies and to provide building permission in them, such provisions have been made in the amendment bill. Apart from this, provision has been made to increase the present limit of 10 percent of F.A.R. to 20 percent to reduce the crime of unauthorized construction.

Commercial tax

The cabinet approved the proposal of the Commercial Tax Department for the supply system of desi liquor for the first 2 months of the financial year 2021-22 and the execution of cannabis shops, manufacturing units, warehouses and bar licenses for the entire year 2021-22.

Approval for Bhind Sainik School

Keeping in view the health, safety and convenience of transportation in Industrial Area Malanpur for Sainik School, 50 acres of land has been identified by Collector Bhind for allotment. The total expenditure of Rs 3 crore for the state government’s obligations has been provided in the state budget. An amount of Rs 70 to 100 crore is expected to be spent for the construction of infrastructure, which will be borne by the Defence Research and Development Organisation. In this regard, the Cabinet gave its approval.
