Madhya Pradesh Police were lauded for good performance in Covid period
Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the work done by the police of Madhya Pradesh during Covid period has been lauded at the national level. Our Police department deserves to be congratulated. We have to make the functioning of Madhya Pradesh Police the best in the country as per the guidelines given by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan today took a meeting in the context of the conference of all the DGs and IGs of the country taken by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at his residence recently. Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, DGP Shri Vivek Johri, ADG Vigilance Shri Makrand Deuskar were present in the meeting.
Use of IT in sorting “Crime Analysis” and “Hot Spot”
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that IT should be fully utilized in sorting “Crime Analysis” and “Hot Spots” for the effective prevention of crimes. CCTV Network should be further upgraded. Chief Technical Officer should also be appointed in P.H.Q.
Effective action on crimes against women and children
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that effective action should be taken in cases of crime against women and children. For this, awareness campaign will be conducted in all districts. Child and juvenile courts should be made “child friendly”.
“Community Radio” in Naxalite areas
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that all efforts should be made to stop Naxalism. The Naxal Surrender Scheme of Madhya Pradesh should be improved on the lines of states of Andhra Pradesh, Orissa and Chhattisgarh. “Community Radio” should be started in Naxal areas, which provides information to people there in the same language.
Action taken against absconding criminals in Mission Mode
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that action should be taken against the absconding criminals in Mission Mode so that they cannot roam around here and there in the society. FSL visit should be made mandatory in serious offenses (with punishment above 7 years). Work should also be done relating to improvement of jails. Police should prepare its “Vision 2030”. An “Integrated Crime Management Vehicle” can be developed on the lines of Andhra Pradesh.
“NFSU” campus may be opened in Madhya Pradesh
Prior to this meeting, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed in a meeting related to affiliation with “National Forensic Science University” that the entire services of this university should be availed for efficiency, knowledge, use of state-of-the-art system, etc. for the prevention of crimes in the state. A campus of “National Forensic Science University” can be opened in the state. Information should be given in this regard within a week.
