Madhya Pradesh: Rozgar Setu Portal becomes effective platform for providing jobs to labourers
Bhopal : The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Rozgar Setu Portal is functioning as an effective platform in providing employment to migrant labourers and other labourers as per their skills and competency. Within 3 days of launching of the portal, appointment orders have been issued to 302 migrant labourers. Along with this, a process is underway to provide employment to 1282 migrant labourers.
Over 10 thousand employers registered on Portal
It is to be noted that over 10 thousand employers have been registered on Rozgar Setu Portal. These employers include MSME, Factories, Commercial Establishments, Organizations, Contractors, Builders, Shopkeepers and Placement Agencies etc. Employers are selecting labourers from the portal as per the requirement of their enterprises/ business and are issuing online appointment letters to them.
Over 13 lakh labourers registered
As many as 7 lakh 30 thousand 311 migrant labourers and 5 lakh 79 thousand 879 members of their families, total 13 lakh 10 thousand 186 have already been registered on Rozgar Setu Portal. Similarly, 3 lakh 24 thousand 715 beneficiaries of Sambal have been registered on the portal. At the same time, the registration of 15 thousand 722 labourers of Bhavan evam Anya Sannirman Karmkar Mandal have been done. Under the Atma-Nirbhar Bharat Yojana, the number of family members of beneficiary migrant labourers is 13 lakh 10 thousand 186 and free ration is being provided to all.
Appointments given in various professions
Through the Rozgar Setu Portal, appointment has been given to 28 labourers in agro-processing, 7 in cane and bamboo industry, 4 as computer operator, 3 as carpenter, 5 as driver cum mechanic, 3 in building maintenance, 3 as machinist, 2 as workman, 4 as electrician, 2 as surveyor, 10 as housekeeper and one each as catering assistant, computer hardware, stone machine operator, lab assistant, plumber, photographer, baker, tractor mechanic, machine tools maintenance, HR executive and welder. Jobs have been given to 202 people in labour work and to 18 people in other works.
