Madhya Pradesh will also celebrate the foundation day of other states – Governor Patel
New Delhi: Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel has said that physical proximity is not important in national integration, it is necessary to have mental, ideological and emotional equality. He said that inspired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the foundation day of Gujarat and Maharashtra was celebrated in Raj Bhavan in the form of ‘Akhandata ka Utsav’ (Celebration of integrity). In the same sequence, ‘Celebration of integrity’ will also be celebrated on the foundation day of other states. The Governor was addressing the ‘Celebration of Integrity’ celebration of Telangana’s Foundation Day at the Golden Jubilee Auditorium of Shri Patel Vikram University. People of Madhya Pradesh and Telangana were present at the festival.
Governor Shri Patel said that in the concept of Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat, organising the foundation day of different states is an initiative to share history, art and culture, which further strengthens mutual understanding and dialogue between the people of the two states. Ek Rashtra is a demonstration of the commitment of many cultures to our glorious heritage. He also referred to the accession of princely states into the Indian Union and recalled the contribution of Sardar Patel.
Governor Shri Patel said that despite the different culture, language and costumes of every state in India, Indians have taken the path of cultural unity by unity in diversity. The identity of Indianness is the respect for different traditions, behaviors, languages, cultures. He appealed that people should be told about the unity in diversity embedded in the rich heritage, culture, customs and traditions of our country. When the people are acquainted with the importance of the co-ordinated Indian culture and the glory of the past, then the sense of nationalism will be awakened and strengthened in them, a harmonious society will be created. On the foundation day of Telangana state, the Governor asked them to preserve and promote their cultural specialties as well as contribute their best in realizing the resolve of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s ‘Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat Pledge’. He called for a united and Atma-nirbhar India to be the most strong, capable country in the world and to take India’s basic identity and honour to every corner of the world.
Higher Education Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the programme has brought a unique and favorable gift for all of us. Samrat Vikramaditya’s play was staged in Hyderabad some time ago by the state government. Samrat Vikramaditya is also very famous in Telangana where he is addressed as Bhattaraja. Such a programme strengthens the internal unity of our country. He saluted the sacrifices made in the struggle for the establishment of Telangana state. Dr. Yadav appreciated the progress of Telangana and appreciated the programme and congratulated the people of Telangana on the state’s foundation day.
Governor Shri Patel was welcomed by Secretary MSME and Commissioner Industries Shri P. Narhari with bouquets and angavastra. In his welcome address, he informed that the formation of Telangana state and the initiative of Madhya Pradesh government to organise Telangana State’s Foundation Day programme has spread happiness among the people of Telangana. Shri Narhari said that the ‘Celebration of Integrity’ realizes the concept of Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat and shows that despite diversity, all of us Indians are tied in the thread of unity.
A cultural programme was also presented. Artist Smt. Chandanashree Siddharth Telang worshiped Lord Ganesha in Telugu and sang the bhajan ‘Govinda Govind Anikuruve’ composed by Annamacharya. Chandanashree Siddharth Telang and Kamakshi presented ‘Vatukama’, a folk dance of Telangana. A short film on the establishment of Telangana was also screened.
