Madhya Pradesh wins 46 medals in ‘Khelo India’ Youth Games
Bhopal : Lauding the remarkable feat of players of the state at ‘Khelo India’ Youth Games in Guwahati of Assam, the Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath has congratulated the medal winners. He announced to honour the Gold medal winners with Rs. One lakh incentive, silver medal winners with Rs. 75 thousand incentive and bronze medal winners with Rs. 50 thousand incentive.
Congratulating the medal winners, the Minister for Sports and Youth welfare Shri Jeetu Patwari asserted that players of the state are being facilitates with sports infrastructure of international standard, training with modern & scientific method besides sports equipments are being provided. As a result of all these facilities, our players are giving outstanding performance at national and international events. Last year, the state had bagged only 8 gold medals. This year, the players have bagged 15 gold medals, he added.
Madhya Pradesh wins 46 medals
A total of 46 medals including 15 gold, 11 silver 20 bronze medals have been bagged by the players of Madhya Pradesh at the ‘Khelo India’ Youth Games. These medals have been won by the players in athletics, judo, archery, table tennis, shooting, wrestling, swimming, badminton, weightlifting and boxing competitions. In the year 2019, a total of 31 medals including 8 gold, 8 silvers and 15 bronze were bagged by the players at the ‘Khelo India’ Youth Games.
