Madhya Pradesh won many awards in Kayakalp, Dastak and Nirogi Kaya Campaign

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that all district hospitals of the state should be equipped with modern facilities of treatment and be made excellent in the next one year. Work carried out with public cooperation at Seoni District Hospital is exemplary. All districts should take inspiration from this. In public health sector, Madhya Pradesh has won many awards in Kayakalp, Dastak and Nirogi Kaya Campaign, it reflects that speedy progress is taking place in health facilities in the state. He congratulated and praised all concerned for winning these awards.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was deliberating with concerned officers of all districts through video conferencing from Mantralaya today. Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Mohammad Suleman and other officers were present at the meeting.

70 percent and above score of 162 primary health centres of state

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has said that it is a matter of pleasure that 162 primary health centres have met the requirements of Kayakalp campaign and they have been given 70 percent and above rating by the Government of India.

Felicitation to Health Workers

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan felicitated the health workers for receiving the awards. He congratulated District Hospital Seoni, Bhind, Betul, Anuppur, Lady Elgin Civil Hospital of Jabalpur and Community Health Centre-Patan for receiving awards in Kayakalp campaign. Similarly, he congratulated Indore and Rewa divisions as well as Sidhi, Sehore, Seoni and Dhar districts for excellent performance in Dastak campaign. Likewise, he congratulated Narmadapuram division as well as Raisen, Hoshangabad, Barwani districts for Nirogi Kaya award.

‘Mein Bhi Aspataal Mitra Abhiyan’

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan praised the ‘Mein Bhi Aspataal Mitra Abhiyan’ conducted with people’s cooperation under Kayakalp by Seoni District Hospital. The collector concerned has informed that under this campaign, the hospital was upgraded by receiving Rs. One crore with people’s cooperation as well as about Rs. 2 crore from N.R.H.M and the hospital was equipped with all modern medical equipments and facilities.

Kayakalp Abhiyan

The main objective of the Kayakalp Abhiyan being run under the Swachh Bharat Mission is to ensure high level of cleanliness and infection control in health institutions. As a result of the Kayakalp Abhiyan, achievements like standardization in cleanliness, decline in hospital infections and use of antibiotic, improvement in satisfaction level of patients are being reflected. Due to this, OPD of government health institutions is registering a constant increase.

Dastak Abhiyan

The Dastak Abhiyan is being conducted to reduce child mortality by providing better health and nutrition services to children below five years of age in the state. Its main components are: active identification, referral and management of severely malnourished children, active screening and management of severe anemia in children, prompt diagnosis, management and referral of pneumonia in children, control of diarrhea in children, identification of visible congenital deformities in children, Vitamin A supplementation in all children, vaccination of children, promotion of proper infant and child dietary practices and treatment and follow-up in SNCU and NRC.

Nirogi Kaya Abhiyan

This campaign is being implemented through “Arogyam” Health and Wellness Health Centres aimed at making the general public aware of serious non-communicable diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes and cancer, identifying patients and providing treatment to them. As many as 35 lakh 22 thousand persons have been screened in the state under the Nirogi Kaya Abhiyan. Treatment has been started after identifying one lakh 26 thousand patients of diabetes, two lakh 41 thousand patients of high blood pressure and 992 patients of cancer.
