MadhyaPradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan issued E- Certificates of Rs 12.27 crores for 1040 Ladli Lakshmis
Bhopal :On the occasion of International Women’s Day today, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan issued E-Certificates of an amount of Rs 12.27 crore in 1040 cases under Ladli Laxmi Yojana and Rs 52.12 lakh to 2655 beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Matrutva Vandana Yojana. Principal Secretary Shri Anupam Rajan and other concerned officials were present on the occasion.
A daughter is a boon, not burden
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan interacted with the mothers of the Ladli Laxmis through a video conference. He said that the schemes have been made for the welfare of girls from birth to death in the state. Ladli Laxmi Yojana was started in the year 2007 and so far a total of 35 lakh 35 thousand 28 girls have been benefited. Under the scheme, girls are granted Rs 2000 for passing Class VIth, Rs. 4 thousand for passing Class IX, Rs 6 thousand for passing Class XI, Rs. 6 thousand for passing Class XII and Rs one lakh for completing 21 years of age. This way a total of Rs one lakh 18 thousand is provided. Apart from this, free books, uniforms, cycles etc. are also provided to girls. Assistance is given for their marriage and under the Sambal scheme, an assistance of Rs 4 thousand is given before the birth of the child and Rs 12 thousand after birth.
Acche se padhna, Mama saath hai
The Chief Minister spoke to Smt. Jyoti Mitra of Shivpuri, mother of Ladli Laxmi Aaradhya, Smt. Pooja Verma Khandwa, mother of Bhumi, Smt. Poonam Sharma Morena, mother of Kavya, Smt. Belakali Saket of Sidhi, mother of Shreya and Smt. Sultana Mohsin of Panna, mother of Ira. Shreya told that she has been promoted to Class IX this time. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that she should study well as Mama is with her.
CM wishes mothers, asks them to remember brother when in need
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also interacted with the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Matrutva Vandana Yojana including Smt. Khushboo Prajapati Shahdol, Smt. Nandani Netam Dindori, Smt. Bali Hurmade Betul, Smt. Rachna Jatav Vidisha, Smt. Uma Gopal Ujjain through video conference. He wished everyone and said that they should be happy always, and told them to remember their brother whenever needed.
First prize to Madhya Pradesh in Matrutva Vandana Yojana
Principal Secretary Shri Anupam Rajan informed that under the Matrutva Vandana Yojana, an amount of Rs. 5000 is provided to all pregnant women and lactating mothers (first delivery). Of this, Rs one thousand is provided on the registration of pregnancy, Rs two thousand after 6 months of pregnancy and Rs two thousand after childbirth. The yojana was started in the year 2017 and under this, a sum of Rs 671 crore has so far been paid to 16 lakh 56 thousand beneficiaries in the state. In the year 2019-20, Madhya Pradesh was awarded the first prize for outstanding work across India.
