#MadhyaPradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan reviews the condition of Corona in state
Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan while reviewing the condition of Corona in the state today, directed that there should be no gaps in treatment and doctors and paramedical staff should work wholeheartedly. Essential facilities must be provided to patients in hospitals dedicated for treatment of Corona. Issuing instructions to start treatment work at the trauma center in Ujjain in particular, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the condition of patients should be constantly monitored, for the treatment of patients who are in ICU or ventilator, services of experts should also be obtained from Indore and Bhopal if need arises.
During the review meeting being held on the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan, Additional Chief Secretary, Health Shri Mohammad Suleman instructed medical specialist from AIIMS Bhopal to leave for Ujjain. Information was given in the review meeting that situation was now under control in those places where the number of positive patients had increased. Such districts include Dhar, Khargone and Raisen district. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan received information about these districts in particular.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that positive cases should recover, serious patients should be treated promptly and in no case should mortality rate increase. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that patients have been provided good care at Aurobindo Hospital in Indore and Chirayu Medical College in Bhopal. Other hospitals should also continuously strive to provide better treatment. It was informed in the meeting that four medical colleges of the state besides Jabalpur are starting testing labs. These districts include Ratlam, Shahdol, Vidisha and Khandwa.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that everyone has to work together to control Corona virus in Madhya Pradesh. As Madhya Pradesh has increased its testing capacity compared to other states, efforts should be made to collect more samples by continuing it. Currently around 3000 samples are being taken daily. This capacity will increase to 3500 in the coming week.
Situation improving in districts
It was informed in the meeting that in today’s situation, Madhya Pradesh ranks sixth in the country. With the number of cases declining, the entire staff is active for controlling the disease. There are 1979 active cases out of 2942 cases in the state. A total of 798 patients have recovered completely. In the state 165 people in the state have been victims of untimely death due to Corona. Out of 2500 samples taken today, 107 have been found positive. The situation in Gwalior of the state is quite under control. It will soon shift from Red to Orange Zone. Similarly, Alirajpur and Sheopur will also be included in Green zone soon.
According to the standards of the Government of India, if no positive case is found in 21 days, the area is listed under Green zone.
Return of labourers
Additional Chief Secretary Shri I.C.P. Kesri informed Chief Minister Shri Chouhan that the work of bringing back labourers from other states is in progress. For this, an amount of Rs one crore has been provided to the Railways. Some trains are being sent from other states to Madhya Pradesh in the next 3 days. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that under no circumstances the should the labourers of Madhya Pradesh be charged. It was informed at the meeting that the states of Punjab and Telangana have agreed to bear the fare of the labourers. About 70,000 workers of the state will return in the second phase this week. Around 75,000 workers have returned to Madhya Pradesh in the first phase.
Pilgrims must be allowed to return to their states
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan issued instructions in the meeting that pilgrims who had come to Ujjain and Omkareshwar etc. for darshan of Lord Mahakal should be allowed to return to their source destinations.
Health Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Director General of Police Shri Vivek Johri, Principal Secretary Shri Sanjay Shukla were also present in the meeting.
