Mahila Shakti Kendra Kishtwar celebrates Human Rights Day

Kishtwar: District level Centre for Women, Mahila Shakti Kendra Kishtwar, today celebrated Human Rights Day under the theme “Recover Better – Stand Up For Human Rights, here at AWC Wasser Kuleed Kishtwar.

On the occasion, the MSK team briefed the participants about the basic human rights and discussed the importance of the day.

They said that this year chosen theme is in sync with Covid 19 pandemic. It focused on creating equal opportunities for everyone and addressing the failures and disappointments we all were exposed to due to Covid -19.

The MSK team underlined that by incorporating human rights as a way of life, a fundamental change can be brought about in the eradication of the scourge of poverty, ignorance, prejudices, and discrimination based on sex, caste, religion, disability and other forms, within our society.

Thus agenda is to use the day as an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of human rights so as to be able to rebuild the world that we seek, for achieving global solidarity, thus advocating shared humanity across communities.
