Mahzooz millionaires in the making – Over 90,000 Indian winners collectively took home 2.7 billion Indian Rupees (AED 124,000,000)

Dubai, 2 January 2023: Over 90,000 Indian winners have taken home more than AED 124,000,000 in prize money (equivalent to 2.7 billion Indian Rupees) with Mahzooz, the United Arab Emirates’ leading weekly draw.

In the past two years, Mahzooz has created 31 multi-millionaires, and has given away over AED 350,000,000 in prize money to its winning participants from all over the world. Among the total 217,000 winners, Indians come first, thanks to the large unique and repeat participation numbers from within the United Arab Emirates, India and other GCC countries.

These lucky participants were divided between winners of 1st prize of AED 10,000,000, 2nd prize of AED 1,000,000, 3rd prize of AED 350 and the raffle draw prizes of AED 100,000. In 2022, Indians participating from several countries, had a sizable share of the win, with a total prize money of AED 85,000,000 (1.9 billion Indian Rupees). Four of those winners were the lucky receivers of the Mahzooz top prize and became multi-millionaires overnight in 2022.

The first winner with Mahzooz this year was an Indian chef whose fortune has rocketed him to multi-millionaire status during the 66th weekly draw. Rama, a chef who comes from a very modest family, landed the AED 10,000,000 top prize and is determined to offer his children the education that he never had. He considers the UAE his lucky charm: “Before I came to Dubai, I was working as a private chef in a tour company catering to Indian tourists, so I’ve travelled the world. But I decided to come to the UAE because my friends said this is the place where dreams come true. Even when I was unemployed during the pandemic and when families were prudent about hiring domestic help, I didn’t lose hope. There’s always light after dark. I can’t thank the UAE and Mahzooz enough,” Rama says.

Anish was the second winner in 2022, and he too, won the top prize of AED 10 million. For the IT professional who works for a private company in Ajman, UAE, he had a sixth sense that gave him a positive feeling that he won something: “Initially, I had the feeling that I had won a small amount, but when I logged into my account, I was shocked to see that I was the top prize winner. This is a blessing indeed. I will use the prize money to repay by debts, help family members who are in need and most importantly, bring my family here to the UAE to live with me,” says Anish.

As for Shanavas who shared the top prize with another winner at the 88th draw, he recounts his excitement saying: “I remember choosing my numbers randomly without giving it much thought and then I went to work without noticing that my numbers were on the screen during the draw. My biggest surprise was to know that someone else had picked up the same numbers and now shares the top prize with me. I am happy for both of us” says the Indian father of two who has been living in the UAE for the past 14 years, away from him family.

Dalip, the latest 2022 Indian winner who lives in Kuwait, became Mahzooz’s 30th multi-millionaire, as he took home a life-changing prize of AED 20 million at the 102nd Mahzooz weekly draw. The 48-year-old father of three who works as a mechanical engineer has been taking part in Mahzooz regularly with the sole intention of winning only the guaranteed raffle draw of AED 100,000. However, he went away with AED 20,000,000 instead, as part of a limited-time promotion.

Entrants can participate in Mahzooz by registering via www.mahzooz.ae and purchasing a bottle of water for AED 35, which enables them to enter multiple draws, the Fantastic Friday Epic Draw and the Super Saturday Draws, by choosing two different set of numbers. The Super Saturday Draws require participants to pick 5 out of 49 numbers for a chance to win the top prize of AED 10,000,000, the second prize of AED 1,000,000, or the third prize of AED 350. Participants will also be automatically entered into the raffle draw in which three guaranteed winners will each receive AED 100,000. The Fantastic Friday Epic Draw requires participants to choose 6 numbers out of 39 for a chance to win AED 10,000,000.
