Hyderabad: Inauguration of “Da-Malangg Hunar Mahotsav”– A Festival of Crafts, Cuisine & Culture of India” at Gymkhana Ground, Secunderabad, Telangana. This festival is organized to promote, protect and provide a sustainable platform for the Artisans/ Craftspersons.

The festival will be open for the public from 10th April, 2023 at Gymkhana Ground, Secunderabad, Telangana at 6:00 PM.

Speaking on the occasion Mr Rishi Kumar Jha, MD, Malangia Arts said, “In “Hunar Mahotsav” more than 250 artisans and craftsmen from more than 20 States/UTs are participating. Participating artisans and craftsmen are from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Odisha, Puducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal etc. They are here to showcase and sell their exquisite indigenous handmade products.”

Exquisite indigenous handmade products such as applique work, dry flowers, jute-cane, brass products, wooden and clay toys, Ajrakh Block Print, Blue Art Pottery, Pashmina Shawl, Khadi products, Banarsi Silk, Wooden Furniture, Chikankari Embroidery, Chanderi Silk, Lac bangles, Rajasthani jewellery, Phulkari, Leather products, pottery, Jute products etc. are available for sale. The visitors can also enjoy traditional delicacies from every region of the country at the Food Court. People can also enjoy different cultural and musical programmes being presented by renowned artists such as Altaf Raja, Bhumika Malik, Ankita Pathak, Anil Bhat, Khushi etc. and local artists especially from Hyderabad.

This event will further boost the ‘Vocal for local’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ spirit, giving a massive platform to artisans to showcase their uniqueness.
