Malviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur is organizing a three-day long Fresher’s Orientation Programme for UG entrants during August 3-5, 2023, the registrations happened on 1st and 2nd August 2023

 

Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur is organizing the registration and orientation program for the students seeking admission in Engineering UG, Architecture UG and MBA PG for the academic year 2023-24 from 1 to 5 August, 2023. There are a total of 888 seats in the seat matrix of MNIT Jaipur, out of which 539 seats have been confirmed so far. All seats will be confirmed after the end of CSAB counselling round by 14th August.

The venue for the two-day registration program is the Asia’s largest lecture theatre complex VLTC, which is located in the heart of the institute. On the first day of the programme, 368 students got registered. Arrangements were made for food and rest of students and their guardians and along with that the students were allotted hostels. Free e-rickshaw facility was also provided to the students and their families so that they do not face any problem in carrying their belongings from the main gate to registration desk and hostels. More children are likely to come on the second day of the programme.

The Orientation program is spread over three days with a series of events like yoga, meditation, aerobics sessions and panel discussions on subjects like “Engineering Career Prospects”, “Gender Sensitization” and “Mind to Matter: Empowering Students’ Health and Wellness”. The programme shall also include
a Dean’s Discussion on topics of utmost importance such as: “Behavioral Attributes” and “Ethics and Social Responsibility of Students”.

The panel discussion will include prominent figures from their respective fields. Among them are famous individuals such as Prof. Ladkumari Jain, Former Chairperson, Rajasthan State Commission for Women and Former Professor in Political Science, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur; Prof. Mini Nanda, Former Head of the Department of English, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur and Dr. Anjali Sharma, Associate Professor, Head, Department of Education and Dean, School of Education, Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ), who have been invited for the discussion on “Gender Sensitization: Know Your Rights and Duties” which in the contemporary world is a topic of immense priority. Considering the ever-increasing stress amongst the students, Dr. Rajeev Bagarhatta, Principal and Controller, SMSMC; Dr. DS Poonia, Founder, Mindroot Foundation (MBBS, MD Psychiatry, AIIMS New Delhi); and Prakash Sharma, Founder, 1001 stories (IIMB, MNIT Jaipur alumnus) will proceed with the panel discussion on “Mind to Matter: Empowering Students’ Health and Wellness”. Dr. Nilesh Khare, Co-founder, Enableance; Mr. Nagmani Mishra, CEO, Proaid; and Mr. Vijay Kumar Bindlish, Senior Vice President and Unit Head, Manufacturing, Jindal Stainless (Hisar) Limited (JSHL) have been duly invited for the Panel Discussion on “Engineering Career Prospects”.

The primary highlight of the Orientation Program is a unique initiative by MNIT Jaipur towards the wellness of students in today’s competitive and stressful environment. This initiative is based on the concept of “Wellness Camps” which would consist of stalls dedicated to the physical, mental, social,
emotional and digital wellness of students. It is more than just a series of activities; it aims to create an immersive and inclusive environment for incoming students. One of the defining features of this program is the emphasis on comprehensive assessment. Renowned resource persons will lead each session, guiding students through various evaluations and empowering them with invaluable insights and tools to enhance their personal growth.

The students will also be familiarised with the nineteen cultural clubs, eleven technical societies and the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan initiative of MNIT, which they can join based on their inclination and thus can groom their personality.

The inauguration ceremony on 3rd August 2023 would mark the commencement of the 3-day-long celebration. This inauguration ceremony would be graced by the Director, Professor N.P. Padhy and the Deans of the Institute. The proud parents of the new batch of MNITians have also been invited to grace the ceremony.

The Orientation Program would conclude on 5th August 2023 with a cultural evening showcasing myriad performances both by the fresher and senior students.
