Manav Rachna paid soulful tribute to Founder Visionary Dr. OP Bhalla on his 10th Remembrance Anniversary in the esteemed presence of Shri Krishan Pal Gurjar
On the 10th Remembrance Day of the visionary founder of Manav Rachna, Dr. O.P. Bhalla, the Manav Rachna family paid a heartfelt tribute to his enduring legacy. The commemorative event commenced with a floral tribute to Dr. O.P. Bhalla at the Prerna Sthal followed by soulful bhajans performed by the students of Manav Rachna International School. Subsequently, a havan ceremony was conducted, where participants collectively offered their prayers. Through several social upliftment initiatives, a befitting homage was paid to the persona who was a philanthropist, a social reformer, and an educationist.
Shri Krishan Pal Gurjar, State Minister for Power and Heavy Industries was the Chief Guest. The event witnesses the presence of key dignitaries, including Smt. Satya Bhalla, Chief Patron MREI; Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President MREI; Dr. Amit Bhalla, Vice President MREI; Dr. N.C. Wadhwa, Director-General MREI; Prof (Dr.) Sanjay Srivastava, MD, MREI and Vice-Chancellor MRIIRS; Prof. (Dr.) I.K. Bhat, Vice-Chancellor MRU; Lt. Gen. Dr. RK. Anand, Director General, MREI; Brig Vijay Anand, Director, Human Resources, MREI; Shri R.K. Arora, Registrar MREI; and Dr. Kameshwar Singh, Registrar MRU.
In honor of Dr. O.P. Bhalla’s philanthropic vision, Manav Rachna Foundation collaborated with Lions Club and Rotary Club of Faridabad for a Mega Blood Donation Camp, where students, faculty, and staff enthusiastically participated. A total of 1356 units of blood have been collected in the camp spread over two days.
In addition, a free health check-up camp was organized, wherein sugar level, blood pressure, eye examinations, and mammography screening for women aged 40 and above were conducted. An awareness and registration drive for interested stem cell donors was conducted in association with Genebandhu and Jeevandayini Foundation. A total of 243 students and faculty members have registered as a Bone Marrow Donor.

Shri Krishan Pal Gurjar along with Smt. Satya Bhalla distributed the 23,500 kilograms of dry grains to non-governmental organizations and support staff of Manav Rachna, further exemplifying the institution’s commitment to community welfare. The entire Manav Rachna family contributed to generate this remarkable number of dry grains.
The Dr. OP Bhalla Foundation has embarked on an admirable initiative focused on organ and body donation, inviting interested individuals to register and pledge their organs for those in need and body to aid medical research.
Upon witnessing the ongoing activities, Sh. Krishan Pal Gurjar shared his heartfelt sentiments, saying, “Contributing to such a noble cause brings me profound inner satisfaction, and I hold in high regard these remarkable initiatives by Manav Rachna, which are a true testament to its commitment to instilling values and serving humanity.” “Through these exemplary community welfare endeavors, Manav Rachna is wholeheartedly embracing the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. The innovative ‘Ek Mutthi Daan’ program is a testament to their thoughtful approach, reaching out to individuals across diverse communities,” he added.
