Manipal Hospital, Gurugram Observes World Emergency Medicine Day with BLS Session in Gurugram

 

Gurugram  – Ahead of World Emergency Medicine Day by organizing a Basic Life Support (BLS) session at Aakash Public School Sector 5, One Resident Welfare Association, Sector 22 and Hughes Systique Pvt Ltd. The event aimed to raise awareness about emergency medical care and equip participants with life-saving skills.

World Emergency Medicine Day, observed globally on 27th May each year, recognizes the critical role of emergency medicine in saving lives and improving patient outcomes. It serves as an opportunity to highlight the importance of emergency care and the need for accessible and high-quality emergency medical services.

The BLS session conducted by Manipal Hospital, Gurugram saw active participation of more than 300 participants including students, faculty members, resident of RWA and corporate employees. From Aakash Public School, Resident of One Resident Welfare Association and staff of Hughes Systique Pvt Ltd. The session focused on providing fundamental knowledge and practical training in life-saving techniques such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), choking management, and automated external defibrillator (AED) usage. Participants learned how to respond effectively in emergency situations and provide immediate assistance until professional medical help arrives.

Dr. Pankaj Mittal, Director of Manipal Hospital, Gurugram, expressed the hospital’s commitment to community welfare and emergency preparedness.
