Martyr Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary will be celebrated as “Tribal Pride Day”

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has taken the decision to celebrate the birth anniversary of Martyr Birsa Munda as “Tribal Pride Day” in the state. “Tribal Pride Day” will be celebrated on Sunday, November 15th at all district headquarters including Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be the chief guest of the programme to be organized on the birth anniversary of Martyr Birsa Munda in the Tribal Museum of Bhopal at 4 pm.

The event which is to be organized under the joint aegis of the Department of Culture and the Tribal Welfare Department, will have special programmes to pay tribute to the tribal heroes and remember their contribution. Programmes will be organized on November 15th in the district headquarters of the state on the birth anniversary of Martyr Birsa Munda. The state government has decided to offer floral tributes on Martyrs Day and the public will be made aware of their valour. In this connection, all the divisional commissioners and district collectors have been instructed to organize a programme in all the district headquarters on November 15 and garland the statue / photograph of martyr Birsa Munda and apprise the public with their valour. Besides, special programmes should also be organized in the honour of the tribal freedom struggle fighters.
