Maru Mani Closes the Doodling, Sketching and Painting Contest
Jaipur: Lok Samvad Sansthan Maru Mani’s Doodling, Sketching and Painting Contest announced the winners. The team congratulates 9-year-old Aishwario Ayushman Panda for securing the first position in the painting category. For doodling and sketching category, Aashna Arora and Raaina Suryawanshi achieved the first position respectively.
Twenty entries were accepted for the final selection. Judged by a panel of professional artists and arts educators. The winners who are in the categories of best outstanding artwork were given E- Giftcards and E-certificates by Lok Samvad Sansthan. Winning artwork is also displayed on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
The competition started from Monday, 29th June 2020 and it was a week-long contest, however it was extended till 10th July 2020. The theme of the contest- Culture of Rajasthan which blended with the essence of Lok Samvad Sanasthan’s objective to preserve and promote Rajasthan’s folk artists who are facing a toll from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The contest took place on social media handles, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn with #marumanidoodle. The objective of the contest was to interact more with the people and make them aware about the problems faced by Rajasthan’s folk artists. A very special thanks to Raaina and her mother Dr. Preeti Suryawanshi also Aishwario Ayushman and his father Dr. Rajeev Kr Panda to provide us with such a beautiful gesture.
The competition was jointly organized by Lok Samvad Santhan with the support from Rupayan Santhan, Jodhpur, (Research Partner), Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication, Dwarka (New Delhi), (Social Media Campaign Partner), and UPES University, Dehradun as an academic partner Rupayan Santhan, Jodhpur, Research Partner, Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication, Dwarka (New Delhi), Social Media Campaign Partner, and UPES University, Dehradun as an academic partner to address the needs and concerns of these traditional folk artists of desert districts of western Rajasthan.
