Marwadi University’s MU Fest 2024 Wraps Up with Mesmerising Performance by Amit Trivedi
Rajkot : Marwadi University (MU) recently concluded its flagship annual event, the MU Fest 2024, culminating in a remarkable performance by renowned singer and composer, Amit Trivedi. Since its inception in 2017, MU Fest has become a platform for the university community, to showcase its fusion of technical brilliance, creative expression, and cultural diversity.
MU Fest 2024 was inaugurated by Shri Parshottam Rupala, Hon’ble Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, Government of India, who recalled the days when India was a global leader in education responsible for institutions such as ‘Takshashila’ and ‘Nalanda.’ The inauguration was also graced by Shri Mohanbhai Kundariya and Shri Rambhai Mokariya, Members of Parliament; Shri Rameshbhai Tilara, Rajkot East MLA; Smt Nayanaben, Mayor of Rajkot, Shri Narendrasinh Jadeja, Deputy Mayor of Rajkot, Shri Jaymin Thaker, Standing Committee Chairman; Ex MLA Shri Brijeshbhai Merja; Shri Ketanbhai Marwadi, President, MU and Chairman of MD of Marwadi Shares and Finance Ltd; Shri Jitubhai Chandarana, Co-founder and VP of MU, among many other community leaders.
Dr. R B Jadeja, Vice Chancellor of Marwadi University, added that, “MU Fest is not just an event. Post the inauguration ceremony a vibrant procession symbolising ‘Unity in Diversity’, featuring students from various states and countries was organised. The procession, led by students of NCC and NSS along with faculty coordinators and volunteers, garnered enthusiastic cheers from thousands of MU students. This was followed by a spectacular fashion show and an evening of laughter with a stand-up comedy performance by Gaurav Kapoor took place. Technical events showcased cutting-edge technologies like AI and cybersecurity projects, focusing on real-world problem-solving. The event reached its pinnacle on the third day with a mesmerising performance by Amit Trivedi, who delivered his best hits, leaving the audience spellbound with an unforgettable musical experience.
MU Fest 2024 also hosted Technical Events featuring demonstrations on AI, ML, cybersecurity, and blockchain, led by faculty and experts. A hackathon was also organised to foster teamwork and real-world problem-solving. Guest speakers covered a host of topics including entrepreneurship, innovation, and career development. Cultural performances celebrated diversity with music, dance, and art, while networking allowed attendees to connect with peers and professionals, offering career opportunities.
