Masai School Launches Part-Time Online Coding Program for Working Professionals and Students

Delhi: Masai School, India’s first Military style coding school, announced the launch of its part-time full-stack developer program. The program is aimed at both students and working professionals – who can’t commit to a full-time program but aspire to learn the latest web development technologies & launch a career as a Full Stack Developer. This program focuses on building a strong foundation in Computer Science & the latest technologies, with no prerequisite of tech-based education or related work experience. The registration for the same is open and can be done on the Masai School website.

The 30-week Full Stack Web Development program consists of 600 hours of coding, 30 hours of Soft Skills, and 60 hours of building logical abilities. Along with this, the course also offers 20 Guest Lectures, 2 Demo Days, 2 Hackathons, 10 Projects, 50 Challenges, and 5 Mock interviews.

Speaking on the launch of the new offering, Prateek Shukla, Co-founder and CEO, Masai School, said, “The ongoing global pandemic has caused a rapid acceleration in evolution of legacy industries & enterprises. Thus, while many industries are struggling, the demand for developers for digital transformation is higher than ever. These are clear indicators that young professionals need to learn industry-relevant skills to land into a good job and avoid getting redundant. With the launch of this program, we are keen on expanding the skill sets of aspiring developers and we wish to help them in realising their full potential irrespective of any constraint.” He further added, “Whether you want to become a full-time programmer or simply improve your portfolio, learning to code is a smart move. In fact, in the past one year, we have got a lot of interest from existing college students and working professionals across the country. And while many of them were keen on joining Masai School, they could not engage in a full-time program. It was this positive response that made us design this part-time course.”

On completion of the program, students will be equipped with the skills required to become a full stack developer. Along the way, the students will start with HTML & CSS before going on to the hottest, most in demand tech stack on Javascript – MERN (Mongo, Express, React, Node). Additionally as a part of the curriculum, Masai School will also assist learners with placement opportunities and job interview preparation.

Masai School began operations in June 2019, in the city of Bangalore. At present, it also has a branch in Patna and plans to graduate 2000 students in the coming months. Across the last one year, Masai School has seen 6 batches of learners fulfil their dreams of building a career as software developers. With 3 campuses, two in Bangalore and one in Patna, more than 55% of Masai’s learners are from non-computer science backgrounds, close to 70% hail from non-metropolitan cities and 60% are from economically weaker sections of the society. Masai School invests in its students through Income Sharing Agreement (ISA) model wherein the student is required to pay the program fee only at a later stage after securing a job.
