Master Training for Youth clubs, VLW/GRS held across Budgam

BUDGAM : Under Youth engagement and outreach initiatives the District Administration Budgam in collaboration with line departments today organized master training of representative members of Youth clubs along-with VLW and GRS’s at all the venues identified across district Budgam.

The representative members were imparted exhaustive awareness and information by the line departments under this initiative.

During the program, pamphlets, brochures were distributed among Youth Clubs to apprise them about the various schemes being implemented by various line departments in district Budgam.

The Social Welfare Department Budgam in collaboration with the Health department, Mahila Shakti Kendra conducted awareness regarding Drug abuse/De-Addiction and crimes against women and the safeguard both legal and social for women.

The representative participants were informed and provided awareness related to all the social welfare schemes like Pensionary benefits to poor marginalized and weaker strata of the society and regarding the Scholarship, marriage assistance and other related schemes.

With reference to the women issues, the participants were also informed about Mahila Shakhti Kendra and Sakhi One Stop Centre that are operational at the District headquarters. The participants were given exhaustive knowledge of Drug Menace and related measures taken to curb this menace.

The representative participants in collaboration with PRI’s have an effective role to play for the awareness of masses and this training programme will help in realization of the goals set under youth engagement and outreach initiatives.
