Max Healthcare and IIT Bombay ink MoU for research, capacity building and innovation in the healthcare industry

 

Mumbai: Max Healthcare Institute Limited, a leading healthcare provider, and the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay), known for its academic excellence and technological advancements, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create an alliance intended to encourage research, capacity building and innovation in the healthcare industry.

The collaboration between Max Healthcare Institute Limited and IIT Bombay represents a significant milestone in the pursuit of transformative digital healthcare solutions. By joining forces, both organisations seek to leverage their unique strengths and expertise to address pressing healthcare challenges and enhance patient care.

The MoU, signed between IITB and Max Healthcare Institute Limited, sets forth the objectives and modes of collaboration to promote interaction and provide a formal basis for initiating joint initiatives.

Under this collaboration, Max Healthcare Institute Limited and IIT Bombay will focus on the following key areas:

Research and Development: The partnership will foster joint research projects focusing on healthcare technologies, medical devices, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and other cutting-edge areas. By combining the research capabilities of IIT Bombay with the practical healthcare knowledge of Max Healthcare Institute Limited, the collaboration aims to drive innovation and develop novel solutions that can revolutionise the healthcare industry.

Skill Development and Training: Max Healthcare Institute Limited and IIT Bombay will work together to develop training programs and workshops to enhance the skills of healthcare professionals, researchers, and students. The Koita Centre for Digital Health (KCDH) set up at IIT Bombay is focused on driving academic programs, research, and industry collaborations in Digital Health. KCDH addresses the need for engineering, clinical professionals and entrepreneurs in Digital health and creates research and employment opportunities in this domain. It partners with leading hospital systems, healthcare research, and academic organisations which have strong capabilities in different branches of medicine and healthcare.

The KCDH team led by Prof. Ganesh Ramakrishnan and Max Healthcare team led by Dr Vinita Jha, Executive Vice President, Max Healthcare played a vital role in initiation of this long-term collaboration and signing of the MoU.
