“Maya Somaiya School of Music & Performing Arts Presents ‘Somaiya Music Festival'”
Mumbai : The prestigious Maya Somaiya School of Music & Performing Arts is proud to announce the much-awaited ‘Somaiya Music Festival,’ set to take place on the 19th and 20th of October 2023. This vibrant cultural extravaganza will be held at the auditorium of the KJ Somaiya College of Engineering, located within the beautiful campus of Somaiya Vidyavihar University in Mumbai.
The festival will run from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm on both days and will feature an illustrious lineup of renowned artists. The Festival will be inaugurated by Shri Samir Somaiya, Chancellor of the University. The Chief guest of the grand occasion is Professor V N Rajasekharan Pillai, the Vice Chancellor. Renowned Guru Pt Arun Dravid will grace the event as the Guest of Honour.
On the afternoon of the 19th of October 2023, the festival will commence with an invocation by Smt. Suneeta Gangrade, followed by mesmerising performances by some of the most distinguished and upcoming artists in the realm of Indian classical music:

- Pandit Vivek Sonar – Flute
- Vidushi Ashwini Bhide Deshpande – Vocal
The musical journey continues on the 20th of October 2023 with an invocation by Smt. Savita Moghe, leading to captivating performances by:
- Vidushi Meeta Pandit – Vocal
- Ustad Taufiq Qureshi – Djembe
- Pandit Vidyadhar Vyas – Vocal
