mBAJA & eBAJA Design and Technical Evaluation and Dynamic Events held today for BAJA SAEINDIA 2020
Pithampur: The second day of Mahindra presents BAJA SAEINDIA 2020 began with the Design Evaluation for all mBAJA & eBAJA teams.
Yesterday, 113 teams of mBAJA and 46 teams of eBAJA were evaluated for the Sales Presentation. Team Rocketeer Racing from Sri Sairam Engineering College and Team Gyrfalcons from Modern Education Society’s College Of Engineering, Pune won the 1st Position in Sales Presentation award for mBAJA and eBAJA respectively.
32 teams appeared for Go Green evaluation yesterday with projects like catalytic convertors aimed to reduce vehicular emissions. Team Ziba Racers from Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women, Andhra Pradesh won the Go Green Award with a score of 93 out of 100.
Design Evaluation started today, whereby out of 120 mBAJA teams, 112 teams appeared and out of 53 eBAJA teams, 44 appeared. They were evaluated on parameters of sub-system Design methodology, CAE, Design Validation Plan and Design Failure Modes & Effects Analysis. The weight of the vehicle ranged from 122.6 Kg to 273.4 Kg for mBAJA, Team Predators from DY Patil College of Engineering, Akurdi had the lightest vehicle with 122.6 Kg for mBAJA. The weight of the vehicle ranged from 167 Kg to 364.2 Kg for eBAJA, whereby Team Stallions from Institute Of Technology – Nirma University (ITNU), Ahmedabad has the lightest vehicle with 167 Kg weight.
Evaluation of faculty advisors for Dronacharya Award completed today, whereby one professor each for mBAJA and eBAJA were shortlisted.
Like every year, the Technical inspection was an exciting center of attraction. The technical inspection started on January 24, 2020, whereby 100 teams appeared for mBAJA and 45 teams appeared for eBAJA as on today. The technical inspection will continue for tomorrow. The teams will continue undergoing an evaluation for Brake Test today and tomorrow.
The eBAJA and mBAJA dynamic events such as Acceleration and Maneuverability were also held simultaneously. Apart from this, the day ended with a power packed DJ Night performance for the student’s excitement after the hard-working day.
Tomorrow, Day 3, January 25th, the technical inspection as well as the dynamic events would continue and will see the exciting eBAJA endurance run.
