MDI Gurgaon Celebrates Launch of Student Immersion Program for the students of Emlyon Business School, France
Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon is thrilled to host the inauguration ceremony for its Student Immersion Programme tailored for the students of Emlyon Business School, France, on 29 April 2024. This unique initiative, orchestrated by MDI’s Global Engagements Office (GEO), heralds the start of a transformative journey for students enrolled in Emlyon’s MSc program in Cybersecurity and Defense Management.
The immersive programme, running from 29 April to 28 June 2024, offers participants a deep and comprehensive exploration of Due Diligence, Mapping and Influence in cybersecurity landscapes and emerging technologies. The Program will also unfold various aspects of doing business in India. A total of 14 participants are enrolled, with 9 attending in person and 5 joining online sessions. To ensure interactive and enriching sessions, 19 esteemed faculty members from MDI Gurgaon, renowned for their expertise, will be leading various sessions throughout the programme.
By engaging with industry experts and immersing themselves in India’s dynamic tech ecosystem, students will not only gain invaluable insights but also develop practical skills crucial for navigating the complexities of today’s digital age.
Prof (Dr.) Parul Gupta, Chairperson-Global Engagement, emphasized this program’s unique opportunity: “This initiative offers students an exclusive chance to immerse themselves in the world of cybersecurity and emerging technologies. They will gain insights into the latest threat landscapes, regulatory frameworks and due diligence processes. Students will also learn how India leverages AI, blockchain, and other technologies while exploring business opportunities in one of the fastest growing economies of the world. Additionally, they will develop an understanding of cultural nuances that shape decisions in this rapidly evolving environment.”
The inauguration ceremony included addresses by Prof. Divya Sharma, Faculty-In-Charge of GEO & Program Director, and Prof. Parul Gupta, Lead-GEO and Program Director. Additionally, remarks were given by Prof. Julien Deseigne, a Professor at Emlyon Business School, France, and Prof. Mohit Anand, Professor of International Business and Strategy, who also serves as the Director of Operations at Emlyon Business School, France. Prof. Mohit Anand said, “I am very happy to be here at the orientation session of the inaugural of the immersion trip of Emlyon students under the MSc program in Cybersecurity and Defense Management to MDI, and I am sure the program will be good, and I look forward to the interaction of the students and wish all the success to the team and the students.”
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Team GEO, followed by a group photograph and high tea.
