Gurgaon: India’s premier and one of the oldest management institutes – Management Development Institute, Gurgaon having its unique integration of management concepts, tools and techniques with stress on public policy formulation, analysis and implementation, including the design and execution of delivery has signed MoU with Haryana Institute of Public Administration (HIPA) on 07 January 2019.
HIPA the apex State Training Institute funded by Govt. of Haryana, was established in 1983 with the objective of providing training, research and consultancy to improve efficiency and effectiveness in administration.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri. MD Sinha (IFS), The Additional Director HIPA mentioned “MDI Gurgaon and HIPA have many areas of common interest in training, research and consultancy. Considerable advantage may be gained from their pursuit on a collaborative basis in the fields of academics, education and research. We will jointly focus on The organization of joint Public Policy programs, Disaster Management training programs and on topics of mutual agreements with a view towards promoting the image of both institutions as imparting state-of-the-art knowledge in this field”.
Prof Atmanand, Director (Additional Charge) MDI Gurgaon mentioned “our mission is to develop a professionally sound public policy and public service delivery which meets the needs of inclusive development by strengthening the learning and capacity building needs of officials working in the field of public affairs and public service delivery systems”.
The meeting was attended by Prof S. K. Tapasvi, Chairperson Public Policy Programme and Prof Shailendra K. Rai Chairperson – International Relations from MDI Gurgaon and Dr. Abhay Shrivastava, Head of Dept – Disaster Management from HIPA.
