MDI Gurugram starts its seven day Induction Program

Gurugram: The growth of a student depends on an all-round grooming and enriched academic & extracurricular activities.This is exemplified by the approach to education that MDI Gurugram upholds. MDI has had a long history of focusing not just on the academic parameters but shaping their students in a holistic manner. The institute aims to nurture the inbuilt talents of an individual and make them confident in their shoes to meet diverse challenges awaiting them.

The 23rd Induction ceremony of MDI, Gurugram commenced on 15 June, 2017, comprising students belonging to Post Graduate Programs namely Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM), Post Graduate Programme – Human Resource Management (PGP-HRM), Post Graduate Programme – International Management (PGP-IM). The week-long induction ceremony will unfold the exciting and inspiring academic journey for students in the years ahead.

Dr. C. P. Shrimali, Acting Director, MDI Gurugram in his welcome address spoke about the culture of MDI which gives emphasis only to merit. He put stress on 360 degree learning-by-doing approach. MDI has a wide vibrant alumni base who are posted as CEOs in various prestigious corporates. The institute is a complete Wi-fi campus with round-the-clock running library which helps in converting a student to a smart and hard working professional.

The inaugural address at the first session was delivered by Mr. Nishchae Suri, Partner & Head, KPMG Academy. Talking about facing challenges and setting rules of life he emphasized on learning through three Es – Experience, Exposure and Environment. The second session started with an enlightening address from Mr. Prashant Verma, Head HR, ICICI Bank. He said that one should have a multiple view on subject. Uncertainty is constant and one must have ability to handle that uncertainty.

The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Sreedhar Prasad, Partner – Management Consulting, KPMG. A brief introduction of faculties of MDI was also done.
Day one ended up with familiarizing the new batch with the faculty members along with an information session regarding the various facilities available to the students as well as student events and clubs.
