Medica in association with Rotary club launches Rotary Medica Wellness Card
Kolkata: Medica Superspecialty Hospital in collaboration with Rotary District 3291 has launched the Rotary Medica Wellness Card for Rotarian, Rotaract and RCC members of Rotary Club Kolkata. These wellness cards will have a special discount on treatment for members of Rotary club at Medica Superspecialty Hospital, Kolkata. There was also a health screening camp organized by the Rotary Club Kolkata and Medica Hospital at Rotary Sadan. Various tests including Random Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure, Height, Weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), Blood Grouping and Bone Mineral Density (BMD) were conducted. The occasion was graced by Mr.Prabir Chatterjee, District Governor of Rotary Club, Ms. Sinchana Bhattyacharya, District President of Rotary Club, Dr Saumitra Bharadwaj, President Medica Group of Hospitals, and Dr Vikas Kapoor, Vice Chairman, Group Director & Ortho Surgeon of Medica. This special initiative is supported by Rotary Club of Calcutta Endeavour.
In the initial stage 1500 Rotary Medica Wellness Cards were handed over to 150 Rotary Club presidents. These cards will cover the health insurances of the members and their dependents.
Dr Saumitra Bharadwaj, President Medica Group of Hospitals commented, “Medica is extremely happy to be part of this special initiative. Rotary Club has served to the society from a very long period of time, we are extremely grateful that with this initiative we will be able to take care of the people who have been taking care of others till now. Members who will be availing this card will be getting special discount on OPD (Outpatient department) and IPD (in patient department). These cards will be beneficial for women as there is a 15% discount on Well Women Health Check Up. We heartily extend our gratitude to Rotary club for collaborating with us to offer this service.”
During the event Rotarians also interacted with Dr.Vikash Kapoor. Dr.Sourav Diutta, Director Medica Oncology Project gave an update on the state-of the-art cancer facilities at Medica.
On the mega launch of Rotary Medica Wellness Card, Mr. Prabir Chatterjee, District Governor of Rotary Club averred, “We are very thankful to Medica Hospital to associate with Rotary Club for this new initiative. This card aims to improve the health awareness of the members of Rotary Club. With the launch of this card, we hope to provide access to quality healthcare services for our members. We naturally chose to associate with Medica Hospital for this venture because they are a leader in providing best care to patients in West Bengal.”
The Rotary Medica Wellness Card will help more members of Rotary Club in the near future.
