Gulmarg: Meenakshi Lekhi inaugurates inaugurates Gulmarg Literary Festival. The literary festival organized by the J&K Government has brought numerous literary personalities across the country to mark the 75 years of independence. Acclaimed writers, emerging poets, intellectuals discussed and analyzed several aspects of literary traditions in the festival.

Lt. Governor addressed the “Gulmarg Lit-Fest”.Jammu & Kashmir has always been a land of rich literary tradition. Some of the world’s greatest creations of literature had come through J&K.Lal Ded Vakh,Habba Khatoon & Nund Rishi’s meditative expressions could not have been conceived elsewhere.

Gulmarg Lit-Fest is a sincere effort from the J&K Government to promote literary talent and revive the culture in true sense. We have initiated a tailor-made program under Mission Youth to support and mentor the young writers of the UT. Authors from all over the country have arrived at the event. It is a first in the valley.
