Mega Legal Services/Awareness camp organised at Pulwama

 

PULWAMA: A daylong mega Legal Services and awareness camp was today held at Town Hall here under the aegis of ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’.

The camp was organized by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Pulwama under the guidance of Chairman DLSA (Pr. Dist. & Sessions Judge Pulwama), Ab Rashid Malik in collaboration with District Administration.

During the camp, all the concerned officers highlighted the main features of beneficiary oriented schemes of their respective sectors.

After inspecting the stalls established by the different departments like Agriculture, Horticulture, FCS&CA, Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, Health, Social Welfare, Handicrafts, Youth Services and Sports, the Principal and District Sessions Judge impressed upon the officers to provide hassle-free services to public and facilitate deserving beneficiaries to avail the benefits of schemes.

Appreciating the launch of various youth oriented schemes like Golden Car, MUMKIN, e-SHRAM and the schemes of Agriculture and allied departments; he informed that DLSA is organizing legal service programmes under PAN India Awareness and Outreach Programme to provide legal-aid to people in the district.

Malik said that the aim of organizing the legal services camps in the district is to make general masses aware about their entitlements under the law and apprise them about the availability of free legal services, besides to connect them to several welfare schemes launched by Union and Union Territory governments.

Among others the camp was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Pulwama, Dr. Sheikh Ab Aziz and concerned officers.
