Mega PTM organised across Jammu division by Directorate of School Education

JAMMU : Directorate of School Education Jammu organised a mega PTM (Parent Teacher Meet) in government schools across all the ten districts of Jammu division. The event was coordinated by the Counselling cell of DSEJ through District counselling coordinators, ZCCs, and other officials.

The key points highlighted and discussed with parents included Career guidance through JK Career Portal ‘ Manzilein‘, DSEJ Radio & Tele classes and assessment tests at the end of every Radio & Tele-classes, which will be submitted to concerned school teachers and considered for preparation of annual results.

Discussions also revolved around celebration of Teachers Day on 5th of September 2021 and motivating the children to recognize the role of teachers during COVID Pandemic and suggestions were invited from the students and parents about how the teachers’ can play a greater role during these pandemic times.

Special focus was laid on mental health and well being of children during the pandemic time as per guidelines of Manodarpan in this PTM.

During PTM parents were encouraged to motivate their wards to invest time in virtual learning till the schools reopen.

The Meet (PTM) was organized through virtual mode amid the COVID restrictions and in adherence to guidelines and closure of educational institutions.

The virtual event was a huge success as parents/guardians joined the interactive session in large numbers. Schools and teachers were oriented in advance about the issues to be discussed with parents.
