Mega Tree Plantation Event organized

Aligarh : A Mega Tree Plantation event was organized by the cadets of 1/8 Company and 2/8 Company, belonging to the 8 UP Battalion, NCC Unit AMU. The event took place on 20 July in various locations, including the NCC Campus, Aftab Hall, and Saiyyid Hamid Senior Secondary School for Boys’.

During the event, Colonel R.K. Sagwan, the Commanding Officer of 8 UP Battalion, delivered an insightful address on the paramount importance of tree plantation. He emphasized the added responsibility that lies with NCC Cadets in raising awareness among the general public about the significance of trees and their positive impact on the environment.

Lieutenant Farooq A Dar, the Coy (Company) Commander of 1/8 Company, and Lieutenant Najaf A Khan, the Coy Commander of 2/8 Company, inspired the cadets to actively engage in the initiatives to contribute for the betterment of society and the environment.

The event saw the presence of Subedar Major Satyeer, B.H.M Rajender Singh, Havildar Mohammad Yameen, Senior Cadet Kuldeep Kumar, as well as Mr. Abdul Mannan, Mr. Nisar, and Mr. Ansar.

The Mega Tree Plantation initiative not only served as a commendable effort to promote environmental conservation but also highlighted the commitment of NCC cadets towards making a positive impact on the world around them.
