Menstrual Hygiene Day observed

ALIGARH : The Rural Health Training Centre (RHTC), Jawan, Department of Community Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University, in collaboration with the Community Health Centre (CHC), Jawan organized a medical camp for women to mark the “Menstrual Hygiene Day”.

Dr. Asma Asraf (JR-2) highlighted the importance of good menstrual hygiene practices, complications of unhealthy menstrual practices, myths related to it and government initiatives regarding safe menstrual hygiene practices.

Dr. Shivangi Kumari (SR), Dr. Asma Asraf (JR-2), Dr. Shubham Upadhyay (JR-2), Dr. Ameer Ayyub (JR-1) and Dr. Chandramouli Mitra (JR-1) conducted the health camp and provided the attendees with free medicines and medical advice. Interns helped in maintaining the register for the camp and in anthropometric measurements of more than a 100 patients visiting the camp.
