‘Meri Aawaaz’ (Water bodies’ grievance portal) launched at Budgam

Budgam: To facilitate the rejuvenation/restoration of water bodies in Budgam, the District Administration Budgam today launched an online web application ‘Meri Aawaaz’.

This portal has been created for protection and restoration/ rejuvenation of water bodies by active participation of citizens. The citizens can lodge grievances related to water bodies in the district through their mobile phones/computers/laptops etc. and this shall improve the accessibility of district administration to the general public.

Grievances related to encroachment, violations, dumping of solid waste, regular maintenance, illegal mining or any other issue related to water bodies in the district can also be submitted through this portal.

The grievances thus submitted shall be addressed by officials of the district administration that include Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Assistant Commissioner Development, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, District officer PCB, District Mineral officer and District Soil Conservation Officer besides Forest department.

This system has been designed and developed by National Informatics Center (NIC) Budgam. The grievance can be uploaded on https://budgam.jk.gov.in/meri-aawaaz and a unique Grievance Id will be generated for each grievance which can be used for tracking of the grievance. The status of grievances shall be available on the same URL.
