Meritorious Girl students felicitated under Beti Bacho Beti Padhao Progamme at Samba

Samba: District Administration Samba, in its endeavour to promote equitable growth and development of girl child, today, felicitated meritorious girl students and their parents under Beti Bacho Beti Padhao Progamme, here at a grand event held at conclave hall, DC office.

District Development Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta, chairperson Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Programme, felicitated 10 girl students with certificates of excellence and financial assistance, who have excelled in the examinations. During the programme, the DDC congratulated all the girl students and exhorted them to further excel in their life in whichever field they opt. She said a girl can be leader in a true sense whatever filed she chooses.

The DDC said that the girls are no less than any of their counterpart gender as they too are leading the nation and society equally. She said this year district administration Samba has organised many events and programmes, which will not only benefit the young girls to pursue their dreams but also prove beneficial in changing the overall societal behavior towards girl birth and girl education.

Later, the Government School girl students present on the occasion displayed their varied talents by reciting Dogri poems, singing songs and sharing their personal experiences.

Chief Planning Officer, Sukhleen Kour; District Social Welfare Officer, Deep Kumar, ARTO Rehana, DIO, Ajay Sharma, DPEO, DYSSO and other officials were also present.
