MESC announced India’s First & largest Aptitude Test for Students aspiring to join M&E
New Delhi: Media and Entertainment Skills Council (MESC) announced to conduct India’s first and largest Creative Aptitude Test, MECAT (Media and Entertainment Creative Aptitude Test) for students aspiring to join the Media and Entertainment Industry. It will be officially launched on 30th July in the presence of MSDE Secretary, Mr. Rajesh Aggarwal. MECAT has been designed keeping in mind the career prospects in the 12 sub-sectors related to Media & Entertainment such as Animation, Graphics, Web Designing, Gaming, VFX, Filmmaking, Advertising, Music, etc.
MESC has been working closely with leading training institutions and industry partners to understand the skill gap requirements and work towards the development of a refined ecosystem supported by the best experts, world-class infrastructure, the most updated curriculum, and unique opportunity for aspiring minds to grow in their career and contribute to the overall growth of the Nation.
Mr. Mohit Soni, CEO of MESC said that first time in the country, a test has been designed to measure the creativity, aptitude, and readiness of a candidate wanting to join training institution in the Media & Entertainment Sector. MECAT is one of the most ambitious projects of the Media and Entertainment Skills Council which is envisioned to change the face of the media industry.
“As an Aptitude Test that has been specifically designed to cater to the needs of the M&E Sector, MECAT gives a detailed Score Card to each candidate who appears for the Nationwide Entrance Exam, after testing their psychometric, analytical and creative skills. Each student who takes the test will also receive Career Counseling from MESC to help them decide which of the Top Media Institutions they can take admission in. Apart from these, the students will continue to receive Career Guidance from MESC over their lifetime, through Expert Talks, Counselling Sessions, and relevant job opportunities at every stage,” he added.
Besides, the scorecard will also boost the confidence of the candidate in striving hard to achieve their career goals. MECAT is accepted by hundreds of universities, colleges, and training institutes in India.
