Milann Fertility & Birthing Hospitals Organise Series of Programmes for Promoting Women Empowerment
New Delhi: Milann, one of the leading Fertility & Birthing chains in India today has launched several initiatives on the occasion of International Women’s Day. As part of the celebrations, the hospital chain is organising various events and social media campaigns covering a variety of themes related to gender equality and women empowerment.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Shailesh Guntu, CEO – Milann Fertility & Birthing Hospitals & Director-Healthcare Services – Healthcare Global Enterprises Ltd said, “Women are an integral part of our life. Their role and significance across society and workplaces cannot be undermined. Through these initiatives, we aim to focus on increasing awareness around equitable, and inclusive acceptability of women. We want to address the stereotypes this International Women’s Day to instil confidence and make people aware of their strength and capabilities.”
The theme of International Women’s Day 2022, “Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow” is aimed at recognizing and celebrating the contribution of women and girls around the world, who are leading the charge on climate change adaptation, mitigation, and response, to build a more sustainable future for all. Considering the same, Milann Fertility & Birthing Hospital at Kumarapark unit in Bangalore has organised a self-defence training programme for all its women staff and doctors in order to empower them.
Further, based on this year’s campaign theme “Break the Bias”, the hospital chain also organised a social media engagement campaign to break the gender stereotyped beliefs for celebrating and empowering women. The campaign focuses on encouraging people to share stories of women who inspired them to believe in gender equality using #LetHerShine, thereby creating thoughtful conversations around the potential that women have displayed over the years. While every person who shares an impactful story gets a free comprehensive health check-up, the one best story stands a chance to win a special gratification.
A series of Instagram live interaction sessions with doctors across units in collaboration with an influencer are also being organised on the occasion. These live sessions are aimed at addressing various issues related to women’s sexual health. In addition, with the objective of creating awareness on the importance of women’s health, a special comprehensive health check-up package including RBS, CBC, PAP smear, Urine routine, USG Pelvic, Vitals, Clinical Breast examination, Fertility and Gynaecologist Consultation is being offered as wonder woman wellness package for FREE.
