The Military Tattoo and Tribal Dance Festival to celebrate Parakram Diwas on the 126th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose will be held on 23rd and 24th of this month at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium in New Delhi. Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Tribal Affairs are jointly organising this event. The two-day festival will showcase the prowess of the Armed Forces and the ethnic beauty of India’s tribal culture.
Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda said, it is a unique initiative which has been taken to celebrate Parakram Diwas on the birth anniversary of Subhas Chandra Bose. He added, it is a combination of displays of military tattoo and tribal dance forms representing Adi Shaurya.
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs said that the aim of the festival is to remember the sacrifices of the country’s bravehearts and celebrate the rich cultural heritage which makes India so unique and diverse. It said, the objective is to celebrate together the bravery of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose; embrace the true spirit of India and renew the commitment to building a strong and prosperous New India.
