Mission youth; DDC Rajouri reviews implementation of spurring entrepreneurship initiative

 

RAJOURI : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) on Mission Youth to review the implementation of the spurring entrepreneurship initiative in the district.

The meeting was attended by CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; LDM, Jyoti Prakash Sharma; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhat; DIO, Narinder Kumar; AD Employment, Rekha Rani and Employment Officer, Aslam Beig and District Officer JKEDI

Assistant Director Employment gave a powerpoint presentation on the scope of the scheme. It was informed that under the Spurring Entrepreneurship scheme the youth in the age group of 18 to 40 years are entitled for financial assistance of Rs 2.0 Lakh to 20 Lakh for creation or expansion of existing business ventures within J&K with special focus on high growth entrepreneurship through business development plan competitions.

She also informed that 150 cases have been allocated to the district Rajouri.

Speaking at the meeting, the DDC asked the concerned officers to generate mass awareness among the educated and unemployed youth of the district about the scheme and ensure maximum coverage of the eligible persons.

The meeting decided that the vetting of the DPR from the recognised centre was mandatory and JKEDI would also facilitate the applicants in preparation of the DPRs.

It was also decided in the meeting that a subcommittee be constituted for the screening of the application forms.

The DDC also asked the concerned officers to make sincere efforts to remove hindrances faced by the youth in availing benefits under the scheme.
