Mission Youth: Education Department Poonch constitutes 216 Youth Clubs with 44000 members
POONCH: Education Department Poonch has registered 44000 youth as members of 216 Youth Clubs constituted at school levels.
The information was shared here at a meeting chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner, Abdul Sattar convened to review the progress regarding the registration of the Panchayat Youth Clubs.
The ADDC applauded the work done by the Education Department and directed the concerned to further refine the submitted data latest by September 13, 2021.
Earlier at the outset, a PowerPoint presentation on the various mission youth initiatives were given by the concerned officials.
The ADDC said that the Government is very ardent about the empowerment of youth and as such several schemes have been launched from time to time for their betterment.
The Rural Development Department was directed to submit a detailed report on the registrations of the Youth of the 13 Youth Clubs by September 13, while District Youth Services and Sports department was asked to prepare a sports activity calendar for each youth club by the end of this week .
He informed that LG’s Rolling Trophy has been finalised for block and inter- block level in Cricket, Volleyball , Football and Kho –Kho (girls only).
Live demonstration of the online registration of youth on mission youth portal was also given at the meeting.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief Education Officer, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Manager DAY – NULM, Heads of Educational Institutes and Zonal Education Officers.
