MIT WPU B.Des. and B.I.D. Admissions Open; Apply with UCEED/NIFT 2022 Score

 MIT WPU School of Design has announced commencement of admissions for 4-year Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) and Bachelor of Interior Design (B.I.D.) programs and are inviting all aspirants to apply for the programs of their choice. Candidates who fulfil the prescribed educational qualification criteria for the concerned programme can apply online at https://admissions.mitwpu.edu.in/bdes/ latest by 5th April 2022.

 

MIT-WPU School of Design aims to offer world-class design education through four-year full-time B.Des. programs in Product Design (PD), User Experience Design (UX), Visual Communication Design (VC), Fashion and Apparel Design (FA) and a four year full-time B.I.D. program in Interior Design (ID). The programs are designed in a way to enhance creativity of students, stay updated with the design trends & developments and design for sustainability. Students learn to conduct in-depth user research, design prototypes of different fidelity for user-testing, prepare their design portfolio and more. These programs are apt for those who are critical, constructive about changing status quo for the better and are also passionate about creating new things within their professional design career.

Admission Process

Eligibility:

The Candidate should have passed 10+2 from Science, Commerce, Arts & Humanities etc. (HSC, CBSE, ICSE, IB Diploma (of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva, Switzerland), IGCSE (University of Cambridge) or their equivalent as can be stated/or established by Association of Indian Universities (AIU), www.aiuweb.org)) securing aggregate 50% marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only). Candidates who have their 10+2 results pending will be provisionally admitted subject to furnishing the certificates when available.

Following are the Design Aptitude Tests (DAT) considered for our programs:

MIT WPU UGPET DAT 2022                                          for PD, UX, VC, FA, ID programs

UCEED 2022 Score                                                            for PD, UX, VC, FA, ID programs

NIFT 2022 online entrance exam score   for FA program

NATA 2022 (Part A and Drawing) score   for ID program

 

Selection Process:

  • Level 1: Design Aptitude Test score based shortlisting round
  • Level 2: Personal Interviews over Portfolio Review (for shortlisted candidates only) and Design Tasks as deemed necessary.

Candidates can also apply for MIT WPU UGPET DAT 2022.  This is a Computer Based Test, testing general knowledge, logical reasoning, analytical thinking, observation, environmental and social awareness, visualisation, spatial skills, design sensitivity and free-hand drawing along the lines of UCEED 2022 over a two hour exam duration.

Program Duration: 4 years
