MNIT Jaipur is going to host H. E. JS Mukul for a lecture under the aegis of the Institute Lecture Series on “G20 University Connect: Engaging Young Minds” on August 9, 2023

 

MNIT Jaipur is hosting His Excellency JS Mukul, former diplomat, Government of India, to deliver a lecture titled “G20 University Connect: Engaging Young Minds” under the aegis of the Institute Lecture Series on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 3 pm at Malaviya Sabhaghar, Prabha Bhawan. H. E. JS Mukul joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1981. Born on April 22, 1957, he is a post graduate in Political Science with specialization in International Relations and has held diplomatic positions in Embassy/High Commission/Permanent Mission/Consulate General of India in Damascus, Abu Dhabi, Kandy, Colombo, Geneva, Riyadh, Munich, Netherlands, and Muscat, apart from postings at headquarters in the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi. He was also the Ministry’s sous-sherpa for the G-20 process and was involved with six G-20 Summits. He has had varied assignments in his diplomatic career, involving both bilateral and multilateral diplomacy covering political/disarmament and economic-commercial work.
This lecture is going to be organized as a part of the series of G20 University Connect lecture series, coordinated by the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), New Delhi. Indian Presidency is successfully leading G20 with renewed focus on important global issues. In addition, the Presidency has undertaken innovative public outreach initiatives. In this context, the ‘G20 University Connect Programme’, an initiative, launched with the visionary leadership of Honorable Prime Minister to spread awareness among students and prepare them as future leaders on global issues. The G20 University Connect lecture series has so far covered 65 Universities across various States and Union Territories involving several students. Besides lectures by the G20 officials and eminent experts, innovative student activities such as essay, quiz, and poster competitions, model G20, etc. are being organized.
