MNIT Jaipur organized Orientation cum review workshop’ for Unnat Bharat Abhiyan

Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur organised an ‘Orientation cum review workshop’ for Unnat Bharat Abhiyan on 28th November 2022 (Wednesday). This workshop aimed to strengthen and enhance the capabilities of Participating Institutes (PIs) to act as a catalyst for holistic development in villages associated with them. The motive was to add new institutes to the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan through this workshop to contribute more and more to the rural development in the country.
Dr Namita Mittal, Regional Coordinator Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, MNIT Jaipur welcomed the participants and explained the objectives of the workshop. Prof. N. P. Phady, MNIT Director, addressed the gathering and highlighted how MNIT Jaipur is serving as the Regional Coordinating Institution (RCI) in Rajasthan to work on the set agendas.
The UBA workshop included sessions from veteran Professors like Dr. Virendra Kumar Vijay and Professor Vivek Kumar, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD), and eminent speakers from various prominent national Institutes etc. Prof. V.K Vijay enlightened the participants on how UBA started back in 2014 with a group of dedicated faculty members of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi working for long in the area of rural development and appropriate technology and is now making an impact across India.
Prof. Priyanka Kaushal, IIT Delhi, illustrated how with certain technological advancements, the vision of transformational change in rural development processes by leveraging knowledge institutions could help build the architecture of an Inclusive India.
The representatives of various Participating Institutes (PIs) also shared their thoughts and experiences at the event. Faculty coordinators, Dr. Nidhi Bansal and Dr. Yash Kumar Mittal concluded the event by giving their vote of thanks to the attendees.
The event was attended by more than 60 members from various Institutes out of 11 districts across the state of Rajasthan.
