A panel discussion on the topic “Say No to Corruption: Be Dedicated to the
Nation” was organized on Friday during Vigilance Awareness Week 2023 at MNIT Jaipur.
As panelist in the panel discussion Prof. N. P. Padhy, Director, MNIT Jaipur, Shri D.B. Gupta, Chief Information Commissioner, Government of Rajasthan and former Chief Secretary, Government of Rajasthan, Shri Ashok Kumar (IPS), DIG and Branch Head, CBI Jaipur, Shri Akhilesh Kumar Jain, Former Managing Director Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited – REIL, Shri Shoaib Khan, Special Correspondent, Times of India, Ms. Bhagrashree Saini, Women and Child Rights Activist etc. participated. The panel discussion was moderated by Mr. Puneet Sharma, Anchor, Doordarshan.
Several malpractices of corruption were discussed in the initial phase of the panel. In which it was pointed out that mainly due to bribery and money laundering, we are lagging behind in achieving the sustainable goal of development. The main focus of the panel discussion was on bringing transparency and accountability in governance to achieve all-round development of the country. During the panel discussion, various experiences and intricacies of disciplinary proceedings were discussed in detail by subject matter experts. All the panelists emphasized on
making e-governance effective, making maximum use of technology etc. to eliminate corruption. The need to sensitize and motivate the public and the administration to eradicate corruption was evident from the discussions.
At the end of the program, the winners of the debate, quiz and poster making competition held under Vigilance Awareness Week were honored. A large number of faculty, staff and students of the institute were present in this program. Program Coordinator Mr. Ashok Agarwal expressed his gratitude to the institute and to the resources at large.
