Modalities for implementation of Mission Youth program discussed at Ganderbal
Ganderbal: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna, today chaired a meeting to discuss the modalities for the implementation of Mission Youth Program in the district.
Threadbare discussion was held on the establishment of youth clubs, Counseling Centres, verification of Mumkin Cases, youth engagements initiatives and other self-employment schemes.
The DC stressed on effective execution of the programme and directed the concerned officers to put dedicated efforts on effective implementation of youth-oriented schemes on-ground so that the unemployed youth of the district avail the benefits of various self-employment schemes meant for their Socio-economic development.
During the meeting it was informed that youth Clubs and Counselling Centres would be established in all 126 panchayats and in Municipal wards of the district for carrying sports and cultural activities and to address all the concerns of the local youth.
While discussing the “MUMKIN” scheme, the DC was informed that 38 cases were identified and a verification process was initiated. The DC directed the concerned to ensure more such cases are identified in the district adding that it is a livelihood generation scheme launched by the Government through which aspiring eligible unemployed youth can avail benefits from this scheme.
She stressed for disseminating awareness among the masses about such schemes so that more and more unemployed youth are benefitted.
Among others the meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, GM, DIC, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, EO, Municipal Council Ganderbal, Assistant Regional Transport Officer and other stakeholders were present in the meeting.
