Model making competition held at the Department of Anatomy

ALIGARH : The Department of Anatomy, J.N. Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University organized a model making competition, “Arte Anatómiae”.

The team of Himali Singh, Afsha Naaz and Talbia Khanam got the first prize, while the team of Jai Jadun, Abhishek Jadun and Tanuj Sharma was judged the second and the team of Saniya Imteyaz, Mehnaz Mehtab and Nazra Aman was declared the third.

Addressing the prize distribution ceremony as the chief guest, Prof Mohammad Khalid (Chairman, Department of Radio-diagnosis) congratulated the winners and urged the medical students to regularly participate in such extra-curricular activities and never be disheartened if they do not get any prize, as merely the participation in competitive events makes a person resilient to the challenges in life.

Earlier, welcoming the guests, Prof. Fazal-ur-Rehman, Chairman of the department,  emphasized that such competitions help encourage peer learning and collaboration, pushing students to go beyond textbooks and explore anatomy with hand-on engagements. They also cultivate critical thinking and problem solving skills, and foster a healthy spirit of competition in students.
The event was judged by Prof Fazal-ur-Rehman, Prof Sangeeta Singhal (Department of Physiology), Prof Uzma Eram (Department of Community Medicine) and Dr Safia Habib (Department of Biochemistry).

Dr. Nema Usman was the Organizing Secretary and Dr. Sufia Naseem was the Joint Organizing Secretary.
