Mongolia Academics At Ural Federal University Develop Online Courses for Russian Language Learning
The project “Digital Environment of the Russian Language in Mongolia” is taking place at the Ural Federal University from August 11 to August 25. 21 Russian language teachers from Mongolia will spend two weeks developing an online course and immersing themselves in the language environment. The project is supported by the Presidential Grants Foundation.
“For many years, the university has been implementing projects that promote the Russian language among young people in Mongolia and improve the level of knowledge of the Russian language among Mongolian youth entering Russian universities,” the organizers noted.
The project is aimed at promoting the Russian language and improving the quality of Russian language skills among young Mongolian students. Teachers will visit cultural and historical places of the city for a deeper immersion in the language environment on the topics: “Historical Ekaterinburg “, “Ekaterinburg Sports”, “Theatrical Ekaterinburg”, “Industrial Ekaterinburg” and “Collegiate Ekaterinburg”.
Later, Russian language teachers will have to test the developed courses on their students in Mongolia.
The project was supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia, the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Mongolia, the Mongolian Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature, and the joint-stock company Uralgipromez.
