Month long “Clean India” drive concludes in district Ramban

 

RAMBAN : “Clean India“ the month-long cleanliness drive concluded in district Ramban on a positive note with the people resolving to keep their surroundings neat and clean besides improving the green cover in their area.

On the last day, after participating in cleanliness drive at District Administrative Complex, the Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam informed that the month long “Clean India” programme was launched by the District Administration on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti during which all departments and social organizations conducted massive sanitation drives and other awareness events across the district.

The DC said that Mahatma Gandhi dreamt of an India which was not only free but also clean and developed. “Now it is our duty to serve our country by keeping the country neat and clean,” he added.

The DC also stressed on complete restriction on single use plastic to save the natural resources for our next generations by following the teachings of Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi.

Earlier, the Department of Youth Services and Sports Ramban also conducted a Clean India drive at Maitra in which students and staff members participated.
