More than 10 lakh masks made by Women entrepreneurs in Madhya Pradesh
Bhopal : More than 10 lakh 11 thousand masks have been made till date by the women entrepreneurs under the Jeevan Shakti Yojana, started with an aim to provide low cost masks to the citizens and employment to women entrepreneurs. An amount of over Rs. One crore 9 lakh has also been paid to these entrepreneurs. Masks made by the women entrepreneurs are being sold at district level at the fixed rate of Rs. 11 per mask.
Women became self-reliant in Corona crisis
The Jeevan Shakti Yojana has facilitated women of urban and rural areas to become self-reliant in corona crisis. In order to provide employment to women at local level and to protect the general public from the corona infection, the task of making masks in large quantity at low cost has been accomplished in the state. People of the state have got the dual benefit from the Jeevan Shakti Yojana, started during the corona crisis with the concept of self-employment in the state.
From the commencement of the scheme till date, 10 thousand 12 women entrepreneurs have registered themselves for making masks. As many as 827 women entrepreneurs in Indore district, 628 in Bhopal, 538 in Guna, 499 in Jabalpur, 427 in Gwalior, 415 in Satna, 410 in Sagar, 172 in Khargone, 265 in Chhatarpur, 230 in Neemuch, 228 in Raisen, 225 in Sehore, 222 in Ratlam, 223 in Tikamgarh, 214 in Vidisha, 207 in Rewa, 206 in Hoshangabad, 173 in Shivpuri, 182 in Khandwa, 175 in Chhindwara, 173 in Mandsaur and 169 in Dhar have registered themselves for making masks. It may be mentioned that orders of about 20 lakh masks costing over Rs. 2 crore have placed to the women entrepreneurs.
