Motilal Oswal Foundation committed ₹ 45 crore to Plaksha University

Mohali : The Motilal Oswal Foundation, continuing its legacy of fostering education and empowerment, has unveiled the girls’ hostel at Plaksha University as the Agrawal-Oswal Student Residence. This state-of-the-art facility is a step further in the Motilal Oswal Group’s founding principles: Knowledge First and the Power of Partnership. These guiding principles have driven the Motilal Oswal Group’s tremendous success and inspired its commitment to creating a lasting societal impact.

The Agrawal-Oswal Residences will be a lasting resource for knowledge-seeking students. It will also be a place where several partnerships – both professional and personal – will germinate, flourish, and culminate in future entrepreneurs.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Motilal Oswal, Trustee of the Motilal Oswal Foundation, said, “Raamdeo and I met in a CA hostel, and from that chance partnership, we built a thriving business and lifelong collaboration. The inauguration was also attended by Natasha Oswal and Vedika Agrawal, daughters-in-law of Mr Motilal Oswal and Mr Raamdeo Agrawal, respectively, reflecting the next generation’s active involvement in the Foundation’s work.

The Motilal Oswal Foundation has committed ₹45 crore to Plaksha University, supporting the development of world-class infrastructure, including hostels, academic blocks, and administrative facilities. The Agrawal-Oswal Student Residence reflects this commitment, offering:

• State-of-the-art facilities: 10 floors, 210 rooms, and accommodations for 420 women students spanning 1.13 lakh sq. ft.
