Mr. Motilal Oswal appointed as Trustee on the Board of Rashtram School of Public Leadership
Mumbai,: Rashtram School of Public Leadership, instituted under the aegis of Rishihood University, is pleased to announce appointment of Mr. Motilal Oswal, MD & CEO of Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd (MOFSL) to its Board of Trustees. He will be part of the Founding Trustees of Rashtram School of Public Leadership. As part of the Board of Founding Trustees, Mr. Oswal will be responsible for supporting Rashtram’s vision and providing strategic guidance.
Mr. Oswal co-founded MOFSL with Mr. Ramdev Agrawal around 35 years ago. He has played a key role in diversifying the company into a capital markets and financial services conglomerate.
“With over 40 years of experience, Mr. Oswal brings to the table his worldview, business style and social entrepreneurship knowledge that is an integral part of development at Rashtram. We welcome Mr Oswal to its board of trustees; and hope to partner with India’s top business leaders who share Rashtram’s vision and add strength to its cause,” Shobhit Mathur, Dean Rashtram.

Rashtram School of Public Leadership, which evolved from the Vision India Foundation (VIF), was started by alumni from the various IITs and management institutions in 2021. Over 2000 alumni have successfully completed their executive programmes, summer schools, and online courses. Many are leading the change in Rural Development, Academia, Electoral Politics, Government, Education, Armed Forces, and Environment, to name a few domains of impact.
Rashtram offer various Degree, Post-Graduate Degree, Executive Programmes and Short Online Programmes.
Rashtram Accelerator — the 1-year residential flagship programme of the institute — incorporates a unique pedagogy modelled on India’s Gurukul tradition, fused with heuristics and an immersive learning milieu. The first batch of learners were welcomed to the campus in July 2021. Rashtram has thus set the stage for fostering an ecosystem of public leadership that can adapt efficiently to the VUCA world (volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous) and spearhead good governance and meaningful social change initiatives.
